Many people in Pakistan want to find the CNIC number linked to a specific mobile number — whether to verify an unknown caller, check their own registration, or investigate a suspicious contact. This guide covers all legal methods to find CNIC information by mobile number.
Method 1: MNP to 667 (Fastest)
Send MNP to 667from the mobile number you want to check. Within 6 seconds, PTA replies with the registered owner's name, partially masked CNIC (e.g., *****-*******-3), network operator, and activation date. This only works for the SIM physically inserted in your phone and is the fastest method for single number lookups.
Method 2: Use Our Number Details Tool
Enter the mobile number in our number details lookup tool. The system retrieves the registered owner's full name, 13-digit CNIC number, address, and network operator from current operator databases. This works for any Pakistani mobile number.
Method 3: cnic.pta.gov.pk Portal

This is the official PTA portal and shows a complete breakdown with operator details, phone numbers, and activation dates. Note: this works in reverse — from CNIC to phone numbers, not phone number to CNIC (unless it is your own).
What About Third-Party Sites?
Websites offering to find CNIC by mobile number for any Pakistani number are typically operating illegally. They either use the stale 2013 NADRA leaked dataset (which has not been updated in over a decade) or are outright scams designed to harvest your CNIC and phone number.
Using such services is risky for several reasons: the data is outdated (no SIMs activated after 2013 appear), you expose your own CNIC to data harvesters, and accessing someone else's SIM information without authorization violates PECA 2016, carrying penalties of up to 7 years imprisonment.
