NCCIA 1799 Cyber Helpline – How to Report SIM Fraud & Cybercrime in Pakistan
The old FIA Cybercrime number is outdated — Pakistan's cybercrime helpline is now 1799, run by the NCCIA.
Many guides still tell Pakistanis to report cybercrime to the FIA Cybercrime Wing at 1991. That number is outdated. In April 2025 the federal government created the NCCIA — the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency— which absorbed the FIA's Cybercrime Wing. On June 3, 2025, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated its 24/7 helpline: 1799.

NCCIA vs PTA — Who to Call For What
| Issue | Channel |
|---|---|
| Unauthorized SIM on your CNIC | PTA 0800-55055 or RAABTA WhatsApp 0315-0055055 |
| SIM fraud, identity theft, online scams | NCCIA 1799 or complaint.nccia.gov.pk |

What to Do If You Find an Unauthorized SIM
First run a SIM audit: send your CNIC to 668 or check cnic.sims.pk. If an operator shows more connections than you registered, screenshot the result, flag the SIM with the operator, visit a franchise to request SIM Disowning (free if fraudulent, capped at Rs. 200 otherwise), and file a PTA complaint at 0800-55055. If the SIM was used for fraud, report it to NCCIA at 1799 — the dated complaint record protects you.
Correction Note
Pages still quoting the FIA Cybercrime number 1991 or the NR3C portal are behind the times. The NCCIA runs 1799 and complaint.nccia.gov.pk since June 3, 2025 — we corrected all our own pages to match.
