What Is Pakdata CF, Pakdata ML & Live Finder Net?
SIM database sites explained — and why you should avoid most of them.
If you have searched for SIM database tools in Pakistan, you have likely come across names like Pakdata CF, Pakdata ML, Live Finder Net, Stability Note, Pakdataga, and similar platforms. These sites claim to offer SIM owner details, CNIC lookups, and mobile number tracking. But what are they really?
What Are These Platforms?
Pakdata CF, Pakdata ML, and similar services are third-party websites and mobile applications that claim to provide access to Pakistan's SIM database. They typically allow you to enter a mobile number and receive the registered owner's name, CNIC, and address. Some also claim to offer "live tracking" of mobile numbers and "CNIC-to-number" lookups.
These platforms operate in a legal gray area. Most of them rely on one of three sources: leaked NADRA datasets from 2013, scraped data from operator portals, or no real data at all (showing fake results to collect your CNIC). None of them are authorized by PTA or NADRA.
Why They Are Unsafe
Malware Risk
Many of these platforms distribute APK files that contain malware. PKCERT has confirmed that Raccoon and RedLine malware are commonly found in SIM database APKs, designed to steal banking credentials and personal data.
Data Harvesting
When you enter your CNIC or phone number, it is captured and may be resold to data brokers or used for targeted scams. PTA has blocked over 1,400 such platforms.
Stale Data
Even if these platforms have real data, it is typically from the 2013 NADRA breach. Any SIM activated after 2013 will not appear in their databases.
Legal Risk
Using leaked SIM databases may violate PECA 2016. Accessing someone else's SIM information without authorization carries penalties of up to 7 years imprisonment and fines up to Rs. 5.7 million.
Legal Alternatives
Instead of using risky third-party databases, use these PTA-authorized methods for checking SIM information:
- SIM Database Pakistan — our free, legal web-based lookup tool
- *668# — dial from any phone to check SIMs on your CNIC
- MNP to 667 — send from your phone to get owner details
- cnic.pta.gov.pk — official PTA portal for detailed SIM records
- RAABTA WhatsApp — PTA's official WhatsApp assistant at 0315-0055055
Bottom Line
Platforms like Pakdata CF, Pakdata ML, and Live Finder Net are not safe, legal, or accurate. Use PTA-authorized channels or our secure SIM database tool instead. Your privacy and security are worth more than a risky lookup.
